On Marriage and Love

A deep topic I know, but I uncovered this and figured I'd shake the dust off a bit.

I'll love you. Forever and ever, till the world runs out.

Till I run out of breath to kiss. Till the words stop coming and my heart stops beating, I'll love you. Forever, he whispers. But no-one can promise that.

A diamond set in gold, it sparkles alone. Trapped in metal and love and exchanged for white confetti and a church, you offered it to me.

But I can't be trapped by a ring, my darling, and you can't tell me forever. Even though I love you. Even though it breaks my heart to see you cry.

We can walk across an ocean, ride across a sea. We can fly over mountains and dive into ourselves. We used to wonder what would happen if we sailed to the edge of the earth, but does anyone know what happens if you run to the edge of the sky?
